S.K.A.T.E. and Create is a four-week hybrid skate clinic and makerspace
course that teaches kids skateboarding and safety fundamentals, as well as introductory-level methods to vocational skills, ending in a culminating experience celebration. Students will learn how to skateboard and create their own custom-designed skate deck.
With specialized attention from skate coaches, students will spend one half of the clinic learning how to skate various obstacles at Cesar Chavez Community Center and skatepark. Students will spend the remaining half of the clinic learning graphic design techniques required to create a skateboard.

S.K.A.T.E. & Create is a dual enrollment program that imparts the physical and mental benefits of skateboarding in a specialized setting for kids. The clinic fosters an interactive learning environment to both safely ride and creatively design a skateboard.
