Skate clinic instructors
What You'll Do:
Skate Clinic Instructors work one-on-one with kids of all ages to learn the basics of skateboarding at our Skateboard Trade Up and outreach events.
Instructors compassionately help build confidence and show participants support. Meeting students where they are, skate instructors play a pivotal role in helping kids live strong, resilient lives by working with them through every fall-and-try-again moment.​
You May Be A Good Fit If:
You are a social, personable and outgoing individual who has experience skateboarding and feel comfortable teaching kids of all ages and levels.
Skate Instruction Volunteers Must:

Have at least two (2) years of experience skateboarding

Must be 18 years or older

Complete a quick background check with us

Comfortable working with children and youth of all ages

outreach & event volunteers
These volunteers are at the core of making Cowtown S.K.A.T.E.'s impact known in the community.

As an Outreach and Event volunteer, you are an advocate for Cowtown S.K.A.T.E.'s mission of ensuring kids everywhere have the opportunity to live strong, healthy lives through the benefits of skateboarding. Your help promoting awareness and raising support for the cause is what keeps us going.
​
Duties may vary depending on the program or event.


What You'll Do:
From running raffles and playing games with patrons in the nonprofit's outreach booth, to passionately talking about the important life lessons that our programs bring through skateboarding; these volunteers are versatile, love to talk and don't mind multitasking on occasion.
You May Be A Good Fit If:
​This role is great for charismatic and social individuals who have no problem talking to strangers.
Outreach & Event Volunteers Must:

You have no problem getting up close and personal, connecting with people from all walks of life in fun, engaging ways

Help foster a positive, fun environment for everyone involved

All volunteers age 18 and over require a quick background check through us if working with youth

Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult
