Thank you, skateboarders! Because of all of you, our September First Friday SKATE and DONATE event was a success!
We were thrilled to see so many familiar and new faces skateboarding at our Pop-Up Park in downtown Phoenix, from veteran local legends to kids just getting started. We opened the doors of our nonprofit park to the public with the request that people bring food to donate, and donate they did!
We collected an estimated 500 meals worth of food to donate to UMOM New Day Centers, a local nonprofit that rebuilds lives by providing shelter, services, and affordable housing for people experiencing homelessness.
