Check out this awesome video by Danny Upshaw covering the Skate Hemapai event at The Heard Museum. It was great to see so many people participate in the open skate jam, our beginner clinics, and all the art activities!
Skateboarding strengthens community bonds, and skate spots are the cornerstone of skate culture. Skate spots are community centers where skateboarders meet, learn together, and support one another. That is why developing skate spots is central to our nonprofit’s mission.
We are happy to announce that the ramp from this event will be donated to the Gila River Indian Community! We are partnering with our friends at Seven Layer Army this summer for one of our Rides for the Res events, where we will donate the ramp & brand new skateboards!
